But the more that I learn about 9/11,
Believing you gets harder to do.

You should have grabbed your trusty sword 
And headed for the battle."
But I can excuse you 
Cause I have no doubt: 
You only stayed around to see 
How the "My Pet Goat" story came out.

But the more that I learn about 9/11,

About those huge Twin Towers--- 
You said that fire brought them down,
Although no fire ever brought 
A steel frame building to the ground.
I hate to say it
But could it be? 
Your guys brought them down 
With some well-placed TNT? 
Or maybe Thermate----but that don't rhyme.

You said a seven-fifty-seven hit the Pentagon, 
Though we only found a twenty foot hole. 
I want to believe you 
But upon my soul!
How could such a big plane 
Go through such a little hole? 
(That does puzzle a lot of people, sir. 
They also keep asking why you won't let them  see all the videos of what hit the Pentagon.)

You said your guys all did their best 
When Nine Eleven came along 
But no matter what they tried to do 
Everything went wrong! 
No one got fired  
After the fight 
So I can't help thinking: 
Maybe things went right!

To protect the Pentagon 
You scrambled jets from miles away 
When there were jets at Andrews
A mere twelve miles away. 
Not to call on Andrews  
Would seem almost a crime! 
Were you afraid that if you did 
They might get there in time?

Why don't you catch Osama Bin Laden? 
Are you afraid if you did he might say?
"Don't be mad, sir! 
Oh, please don't scold me!
I only did just what you told me!" .....

Who set up those pesky war games 
That helped the "attack" succeed? 
Was it OBL near the Caspian Sea
Or VP Cheney in downtown D.C.?

They call your " 9/11 Commission,"  
The " 9/11 Omission." 
They should hasten to a confessional. 
Make an act of contrition 
For their sins of omission
As well as their sins of commission!
